Crazy Rick

Crazy Rick

This episode had three intense moments. . . The first one was when Tyreese got mad at Rick because he felt Rick was not trying to find out who killed Karen and David. He got so upset he ended up punching him. We all know from season 3 that Rick does not take it lightly when someone attacks him. Remember what happened to Tomas?

After Tyreese punched Rick, Rick started to punch back like a mad man. It’s almost as if Rick was punching him to get his frustrations out. He gets Tyreese to the floor, starts kicking him in the stomach, and punches him in the face over and over again. Before Rick can do any more damage, Daryl grabs him from behind.

The second intense moment was the council’s decision to quarantine the young and elderly from each other. They did this because children are more prone to getting sick. They did lose 12 people due to what Patrick had, so it makes sense as to why they would want to separate everyone. The only person who had a problem with being quarantined was Hershel. He went outside to get tea leaves to make a remedy he knows that will help the sick. Hershel goes inside where the sick are and gives them all his tea. Rick does not understand why Hershel would do this, so Hershel says to him, “You step outside, you risk your life. you take a drink of water, you risk your life. And nowadays you breathe and you risk your life. Every moment now, you don’t have a choice. The only thing you can choose is what you’re risking it for.” I love Hershel’s words of wisdom. I hope he does not die because I feel that he keeps Rick sane. Without him, I feel Rick would be a version of the Governor.

The last intense moment of this episode was Rick finding out that Carol killed Karen and David. It is really not THAT intense, but it really is an eye opener. We find out that Carol is not the innocent woman we think she is.  We all already saw a different side when she was teaching all the children how to use knifes without people knowing. Burning people brought Carol to a whole new level. Now we know that Carol is the one who burnt Karen and David, I wonder what Rick will do.
